The Story of Sequoia Estate

It all began with a casual flick through the property pages of the local paper. Garth spotted a lifestyle block in Bonshaw Park and said, “Let’s go take a look.” From the moment we turned into the tree-lined driveway, the vision began to unfold.

The property was wildly overgrown - everywhere we looked there was work to be done. But beneath the brambles and tangled gardens, we could see the magic waiting to be uncovered. We spent an hour exploring that day, and by the time we drove back down that beautiful driveway, our minds were buzzing with ideas. We were already in love - with the space, the potential, and the dream of transforming it into something truly special.

With six children between us, we envisioned this as a place for family milestones - especially weddings - and knew others would fall in love with it just as we had.

Eventually, our dream came to life. We moved into the six-bedroom estate and immediately began planning - literally scribbling out ideas on a whiteboard. On day one, Garth was already out clearing trees to open up the view!

In January 2023, we hosted our very first wedding - our daughter Emily’s. The skies opened up with torrential rain, but with 140 guests arriving, we pulled together as a family. The boys worked their hearts out to make it perfect, and it was. We danced in the rain, and the joy was unforgettable. That day proved to us that no matter the weather, the magic of Sequoia Estate would always shine through.

At the heart of the estate stands a magnificent Sequoia tree, proudly overlooking the garden-lined drive. It’s this tree that inspired the name Sequoia Estate - a symbol of strength, beauty, and timeless presence.

We’ve since added a luxurious honeymoon suite - a private retreat for couples to celebrate their first night together. It’s also available on Airbnb for anyone seeking a romantic escape.
